The funding will be awarded by open competition to projects that enhance student learning in one or more of the GEES disciplines. It is expected that funding will range from £2,000 to £15,000, with support available for individual practitioners, departments, cross-institution and co-discipline consortia. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;li&gt;Provide evidence-based examples of good practice and innovation in effective learning, teaching and assessment (for example in personal tutoring, reducing plagiarism, student feedback)&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Facilitate the review of current practice and the development of recommendations&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Disseminate educational methods which others might use&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Raise the profile and awareness of pedagogic research and issues within HLST &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Develop materials to support course delivery.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This year we must allocate funding by early July, meaning that we have to make the deadline for submission of bids earlier than usual.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Please note that the deadline this year is: &lt;strong&gt;19th April 2010&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
