We provide support to the Higher Education sector by working with individual academics. Our network of discipline-based subject centres provides a range of services to subject departments.
We work with UK universities and colleges, providing national leadership in developing and disseminating evidence-informed practice about enhancing the student learning experience.

Overview

We are highlighting the Academy's work around the theme of inclusion. We work with higher education institutions to develop whole-institution policies and practices for all students to have an equal and fulfilling experience.

Ethnicity

Together with Equality Challenge Unit, we are running a programme for 15 HEIs on improving the degree attainment of black and minority ethnic students. This work builds on a research study published in 2008, to explore the underlying causes for differential degree attainment and practices that can have a positive impact on this attainment gap.
